**Special Blog Post by Ms. Susan**
Hi, RU Connected Campers!
It has been a great experience working with all of you at RU Connected Summer Camp. Although I will unfortunately miss the last two days, Ms Maryl has promised to video the Open House presentations for me.
What I will remember from camp is that it is a lot of fun to work hard--whether your task is breaking a code, racing to meet a lightning round challenge, or designing a hoax website. No question your polished sites could fool me--back pain remedies, miniature cars for my grandkids, Pet Mingle to find my pet soulmate, and more! And we are all getting smarter about how not to be hoaxed, too! What I learned is that even more challenging work is creating true, persuasive messages that express what matters to us--safer parks, protection of children, preservation of wildlife, building up the city. You showed real effort, collaboration, and creativity in the publicity materials you are creating!
The combination of technology tools and a good message is powerful. Each of you has the power to use technology at camp, in school and college, and in your career to express your knowledge, build success, and strengthen community. It is a lot like the power Kira discovers in our summer novel!
What a pleasure and honor it is to know and work with you! See you again soon. And congratulations on a great camp experience. Go RU Connected!
